Titanium Ore is a rare spawn of Saronite Ore nodes. As such, some of the wording in this page may be the same as the latter.
This used to be a highly sought-after rarity.
Wintergrasp would be full of people, some casually mining, while others were trying to kill their competition, or outwit others by taking a different path. I’d always go into this zone either really early or really late so there wouldn’t be much of any player to worry about.
First sign of a conflict though and I fled the scene.
Sholazar Basin was another big hit. I had trouble actually making routes due to it being the second-best place to mine in. A lot of people hugged the cliffside, so I had to add that into the equation of route-making, then make the path odd enough nobody would consistently follow it.
It’s still a good ore to nab, don’t get me wrong. A lot less competition too.

What professions benefit from mining Titanium Ore?
- Jewelcrafting
First off, Mining, because you can’t exactly mine without said profession to begin with. Unless you just want to spend a bunch of money buying the ore from the Auction House.
A secondary profession that you might be interested in is Jewelcrafting, as far as Titanium Ore goes.
Most rare ore doesn’t really give you much when it comes to other professions, like Jewelcrafting, but this one happens to be unique. With JC, you can prospect this ore.
What Mining routes aren’t mentioned?
There are two zones I don’t bother with, when I want to go farming Titanium.
Dismissed Zones
- Sholazar Basin
This used to be a good zone for farming this particular ore in when there was a lot of competition for it. But there are so many nodes in the zone and any one of them can turn into this ore that it’s just not worth the search. - The Storm Peaks
After trying to create a good mining route, nothing really worked out to get decent ore.
What else can you get from mining Titanium Ore?
You have a chance of gathering Crystallized Air, Earth, Fire, Water, and WotLK gems.
Maps, Routes, and Data
Reduced resolution
The routes in this section offer you full view of the maps in question, at a reduced resolution of 1280×720. It offers a variety of routes for each zone, with all the data I’ve accumulated over the years of farming.
- My miner is a Horde druid, thus giving faster in-and-out flight form.

- Overall farming time per zone: 30 minutes.
Northrend
While there are a lot of zones that could get you some Titanium Ore, I decided to stick with the two top priority zones that net me the most when it came to circling several laps. They have a bit less node spawns which means less terrain to travel in search of one specific rare ore.
Icecrown
So I initially had two routes for this zone–left and right. I even made a larger one to encompass some of both sides, but when I tested them, I didn’t get a decent amount of mats. Thus, this is the only route I’ll keep and show for this page. As a Druid, I may have been collecting ore at too fast of a pace, so the nodes were a bit on the slow side when it came to respawning.

Wintergrasp
My absolute favorite zone to mine in, despite how annoying the battles can be if they’re going on. If there isn’t a battle, then you should be good to go with no alert yelling at you to dismount. This used to be a heavily populated zone, but not so much anymore. In any case, you still may run into competition.
