Darkblaze, Brood of the Worldbreaker is part of an alliance quest chain in Redridge Mountains per Classic World of Warcraft.

Darkblaze, Brood of the Worldbreaker Description
As Troteman cuts out, the world around you grows eerily silent. In the distance you see a full grown black dragon!
Quest Objectives:
Use the Horn of Summoning to call for Darkblaze. Defeat Darkblaze.

- Starts: Auto-Start
- Ends: Colonel Troteman (60,36)
You don’t actually have to blow the horn to initiate the quest, because one of the NPCs will do it for you. I wonder if it’s not because I was taking too long to do anything, or if that’s just how the quest is supposed to begin.
Anyway, it’s a big dragon, so it’s a bit of a long fight.

Unfortunately, not everyone makes it in the end. And John J. Keeshan is carried off with the dragon. The dragon states the man will die with him, but it’s never clear right then and there. So…cliffhanger for another time, perhaps?
After the fight, go back to where Colonel Troteman awaits.
Is this quest bugged?
For some reason, after “killing” Darkblaze twice, all it did was continuously attack Keeshan with no end in sight. Running far enough away only made the dragon follow me up to a point. He didn’t attack, and I couldn’t attack him. He just…really liked me, I guess.
I had to go back and blow the horn in order to reset everyone. And then I hung back while everyone attacked. The quest cleared, so I assume if you down him too quickly, it won’t trigger him carrying Keeshan off.
